Terms
These are the rules for using Indielisted. By using the site or submitting a project, you accept them. If you don’t agree, the honest thing is not to use it.
What Indielisted is
A directory of free, independent web games and pastimes. Browsing it and opening the sites is free and needs no account.
The sites we list belong to their creators, not to us. When you open one, you leave Indielisted for a site with its own rules and its own privacy policy. We review every site before listing it, but we don’t control what its creators change later and we aren’t responsible for what happens on it.
The names, trademarks and images of each site belong to their owners and are shown only to present them. Thumbnails are screenshots of the site itself or the image uploaded by whoever submitted it. If a site is yours and you want us to remove it or change something, write to info@indielisted.com and we will.
Criteria to be listed
- It’s entertainment: a game, a trivia, a pastime or a web toy.
- It’s free to play.
- It has no adult content.
- It’s independent: not made by a big company.
Every submission is reviewed by hand and the decision is ours. If the chosen category isn’t the right one, we change it; anything that isn’t entertainment is discarded. We may adjust the name and description, and remove a listed site if it stops meeting these criteria.
Submitting a project
Anyone can submit a site, their own or someone else’s, without an account. By doing so you allow us to visit it, take screenshots and show it on Indielisted if it’s approved. If you upload an image, you confirm you may use it and let us show it next to the site. If you leave an email, we only use it to tell you what happened to your submission. The free review can take up to 28 days.
Paid services
- Fast review ($4.99): we answer within 24 hours.
- Fast review + Featured ($19.99): if approved, the site appears on the front page for at least 7 days, mixed with other sites and labeled “Sponsored”. The order is random on every visit. We don’t promise a position or a number of clicks.
Paying doesn’t buy approval: the site has to meet the same criteria as every other. You get a full refund if we reject it in the review or if we don’t answer within 24 hours. If a featured site stops meeting the criteria while it’s featured and we remove it, there’s no refund.
Payments are processed by Creem, which sells the service on our behalf and handles each country’s taxes; its terms also apply to the purchase. Prices are in US dollars. You must be of legal age in your country to pay.
Our content
The design, code, texts and selection of Indielisted are ours. You can link to the site and share it; what you can’t do is copy it wholesale, bulk-download it, scrape its content with software, republish it, or use it to train or feed AI models. Any automated collection needs our written permission.
No warranties
Indielisted is provided as is. It may be unavailable, and it may change or close. We do our best, but we don’t promise it will always work, and we aren’t liable for any loss from using it or being unable to use it, or for what happens on the sites we list.
Changes and governing law
These terms may change; the current version is always the one on this page.
Indielisted is run from Argentina. These terms are governed by Argentine law, and disputes are settled in the courts of the City of Buenos Aires.
That takes nothing away from you. If you’re a consumer, you keep every protection the law of the country where you live gives you that can’t be waived by agreement, and you can bring a claim before the courts where you live. Where your local consumer law says something different from these terms, your local law wins.
